The patient takes a kit home

The case holds a sensor, an electrode belt, a charging dock and a phone used only for recording. The patient starts and stops the recording themselves, at home or on the ward.

A recording can last from a few minutes to several weeks. Dry electrodes don't irritate the skin the way adhesive ones do.

You see the results in your browser

  • The full ECG for the whole recording
  • Algorithm findings: ectopic beats, arrhythmias and conduction disorders
  • The patient's symptom notes with timestamps
  • Heart rate variability and stress index
  • A report for a single recording or the whole period

You can also check a recording while it's still running.

Where it's used

Primary care, cardiology, neurology, clinical physiology, occupational health and home care.

Typical patients include people with palpitations, stroke and TIA patients, and patients who have fainted. It's also used for follow-up after procedures and to check AF rate control or how well medication works.

Fewer visits

A Holter needs a fitting visit, a return visit, data download and a report. If the arrhythmia has passed by the time the patient gets an appointment, the whole round starts again.

Need an ECG statement?

In Finland, doctors at our partner USVA Health Oy review Beat2Phone recordings. The statement arrives within five working days, ready to transfer to your patient records.

There are two types. An AF statement looks for atrial fibrillation. A full statement also covers other arrhythmias, conduction disorders and ectopic beats. The price depends on the length of the recording.

What the guidelines say

“I don't need to go and see the patient separately. I just log in and check the events the algorithm has flagged in the recording.”
